About Us

We have known each other almost twenty years so we guess you can call us childhood sweethearts. We grew up in the same neighborhood and met in a church basketball league when we were 14 years old and grew to be best friends before we began dating five years later. We dated for ten years before we were married in 2004. We moved to Southern California over a year ago after Larissa was offered a Manager position in Finance with Wells Fargo Bank. Shortly after moving to the west coast, George was offered a job at MTV Networks working in the Video Library. We love living in California and are looking forward to growing our family here.

Our Home & Family

We live in Sherman Oaks, a quiet residential neighborhood in Southern California near several parks and with plenty of children in the neighborhood for our child to play with. We also have a puppy, Kingston, who can’t wait to have a baby in our home. He loves kids and gravitates to them more than us! We are looking forward to when we can take our child to the park and watch him or her run around with Kingtson. We were both born and raised in Queens, a borough of New York City and the oldest of our siblings. George has a brother, sister, brother-in-law, a niece and nephew. Larissa has two sisters and a brother. Our parents and the majority of our family still live in New York. We are very close to our families and speak to them almost every day by phone or webcam. We have a huge extended family and they can’t wait to welcome another family member. We come from two different ethnicities (Greek and Filipino) and over the years we learned about each other’s backgrounds and traditions. We are excited to add more traditions and cultures to our family and can’t wait to learn about our child’s birth family history.

Interests

We are both big sports fans. Although George loves playing sports more than Larissa (she’s mainly a spectator!), we both love watching football, baseball, and basketball. We are excited to have our son or daughter cheer on our favorite New York teams! Since moving to California, we’ve started enjoying outdoor activities such as hiking, golf, or just taking a walk at the park. George has even started surfing! We can’t wait to bring along a little one to enjoy everything the outdoors has to offer. We also enjoy travelling, whether it be driving to a different city or flying to a different state or country. We’ve been to many different states and even drove cross country when we moved to California. We’ve visited Greece, the Philippines, Holland, and Vancouver. We enjoy exploring new places and want to share these experiences with our child.
