Monique & Pamela Profile

Dear Birthmother,

Hi! We are Monique and Pamela Villano of Long Beach, California.

We sincerely respect and admire your decision and hope this will be the beginning of a beautiful and exciting journey together. Open adoption is the perfect choice for us. Monique was adopted in a closed adoption and reunited with her birthparents in her early 20’s. We fully understand the significance of having a connection to your birthparents. We’d love to have you as a part of our family and look forward to developing a relationship of mutual respect and understanding. We are looking forward to meeting with you and learning about your life and dreams. Thank you for taking the time to read about us.

With respect and affection,

Pamela and Monique Villano

Our Journey

We met over 17 years ago. Since then, we have touched each other’s lives as best friends, family and soul mates. Our unconditional love and great respect for one another sees us through every one of life’s challenges. In October 2008, to our delight, we were able to legally marry.

> > We live in a 100‐year‐old Craftsman home located a> half‐mile from the beach in a historic district of Long> Beach California. Our large backyard is just waiting to be> filled with children and toys. Our four‐legged family members, dogs Sophie and Gaia and cat Percy, eagerly await the newest member of our happy household with open paws.

> > We enjoy living in southern California with the great> weather, beaches, nature parks, mountains, diverse> population, awesome playgrounds and much more. You> will often find us riding our bicycles along the gorgeous> coastline or walking our dogs along the historic tree lined> streets.

> > Together, we appreciate simple pleasures like hiking the mountains, bike rides along the beach, getting> together with friends and family and good music. Laughter and love fills our home and our relationships.> We want to share this love and provide our child with a lifetime of love and security. Pamela is excited> about becoming a stay‐at‐home mom and all the wonderful experiences ahead of us.

> > __ Our Commitment __

> > First and foremost, we will do our best to ensure our child will be happy, healthy and feel unconditional love. We will raise our child to be respectful, honest, playful, thoughtful of others,> compassionate, and peaceful with themselves and the world> around them. Our child will experience all the things we enjoy like music, family, traveling, biking, learning about nature and playing with our dogs. As a family, we will learn, experience> new things, grow together, identify our passions and realize our dreams.

Meet Pamela

Pamela is one of the kindest people I know. She is my best friend, the love of my life, my support system and my family. Never quick to judge, she always considers an individual’s unique circumstances. She is never too busy to help someone in need and connects with people every step of the way in her life. Everyone has a story. Pam has taught me to slow down long enough to listen (and learn) from these stories. My life is so much richer as a result.

Recently, Pam has started exploring more of her artistic side. She turns discarded and recyclable items into artistic designs. Her projects are unique and creative. We look forward to showcasing her work some day in nearby stores that support local artists. She looks forward to sharing her creativity, love of life and art projects with our child.

Pamela has worked in Human Resources for Home Depot for the last 17 years. She likes her job because it allows her to help people. She looks forward to being a stay‐at‐home mom.

Meet Monique

Monique just “gets” me more than anyone ever has. I made a list of the qualities for the person I wanted to spend my life with and Monique was a perfect fit. She is extremely honest, kind, intelligent and loyal to family and friends. I call her “consistently dependable”. She’s playful, loves children and her sense of humor gets me laughing when I least expect it.

Monique loves the outdoors and lives an active lifestyle. You’ll often see her scooting around town instead of driving her car. Although Monique considers herself “lyrically challenged”, she enjoys playing several different instruments including flute and guitar. Recently, she has started on the journey of learning flamenco guitar. She also collects vintage wind‐up and unique toys and can’t wait to share her collection with our child.

Monique is as a Vice President of Technology at a legal firm. She works only 10 minutes from home and looks forward to spending her lunch time at home with Pamela and our new child.
