A bit about us

Thank you so much for the chance to introduce ourselves to you. As a family already blessed by adoption – Jim was adopted as an infant – we greatly admire your courage and generosity to consider an adoption plan. We hope that this profile will give you a good glimpse of our lives and our home, and we are happy to answer any questions you might have about us – please feel free to ask. We officially became a family on our wedding day in December 2007. Laura (7) and David (5) are in our home only half –time, but they are fully integrated into our lives and our home. They each have a bedroom decorated just for them, and we attend Laura’s ballet recitals, Dave’s soccer games, and other school and church activities. Our times together are precious and we can’t imagine our lives without them. Erin loves being a step-mommy to Laura and David, but she also strongly desires to raise a child from infancy with Jim. It’s exciting for us to have the chance to share our love and home with a precious little one in the same way that Jim was joined with his parents.

Our faith

The foundation of our marriage and family is our faith in Jesus Christ. Jim and Erin were both raised in the church and we have each made personal decisions to accept Christ as our Savior. We are actively involved in a vibrant faith community, and our entire family participates in Sunday School, Vacation Bible School and AWANA.

Our hope for adoption

We have worked to create a warm, loving, relaxed environment for our children – a place where they feel safe, happy and valued unconditionally. Our baby’s adoption story will be an important part of his/her life (and our lives, too!), but he or she will be treated by our family just as a biological child would be. We would be happy to send you pictures and letter updates over the years, and we hope that you would be agreeable to answer medical history questions as they arise.
