Welcome!

Thank you for spending the time to get to know us. Adoption is an amazing act of love. And we are so grateful that you are considering adoption. We admire your courage to think of the best options for your child. We know how important family is. And we are so excited to start adding members to our happy eternal family. We can’t imagine the emotional, spiritual, and physical hardships that are involved in your decision making process. But we hope that you know that you are a child of God. And that you and the child you carry are much loved. We hope and pray that you will feel the Lord’s guiding hand in your life. We look forward to being parents. We hope that we can help our children be healthy, well-adjusted, fun loving, talented, charitable, independent individuals. We hope to be the loving arms, the shoulder to cry on, the open uncritical ear, the proud smile, the loud clapping hands, the watchful eye, and the safe haven that they want, need, and deserve. We are so grateful for the blessings that the gospel of Christ brings. We are excited to share our testimonies and knowledge of the Lord with our children. We want to teach them about Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ and the love they give us; how to find out the truth for themselves; to serve the Lord with all that they have; and to love the Lord, themselves, and others. We have so much love to give and we’re ready to open our hearts and home to additional members.

Presenting Matt & Courtney

Hi, we're Matt and Courtney. Matt loves to fly and works as a pilot. In his free time he loves to study theoretical physics, play and watch sports, and watch movies. Courtney is a photographer and loves being behind the camera. She crochets in her spare time. She also loves to cook and dance around the house. We both love to crawl into bed with a good book and read till our eyes get fuzzy. > > We love spending time together. Most nights we love curling up on the couch with a large bowl of freshly popped popcorn, a couple steaming cups of hot chocolate, and an entertaining movie. But that doesn’t mean we’re a bunch of couch potatoes! Both of us grew up in families that spent a lot of time outdoors camping and hiking. So we’ve continued that tradition in our family. We love going new places, exploring the wonders of nature, and capturing memories with a camera. When we’re not off on a little adventure, we like to go miniature golfing. >

Families Are Forever

Matt is the youngest of six children with two brothers and three sisters. Courtney is the oldest of five children with three brothers and one sister. Family is very important to us. We are constantly calling and emailing our families. When we get together we spend hours talking, playing games, and sharing talents. Both of our families host large family reunions with tons of cousins, Aunts, Uncles, and Grandparents. We always have a blast!

Our Love Story

Our family story starts at a church fireside. Matt introduced himself over a couple root beer floats. The following weekend we had a first date which started at the grocery store! We were going on a picnic and needed to get supplies. As we were picking out potato chips and talking about the proper way to make a tuna fish sandwich, a clerk restocking chips asked us where the hidden camera was. Because we had to be on one of those dating reality shows! To this day, we still can’t agree on tuna fish. Despite our taste bud differences, we really hit it off! We went out every weekend and talked nightly for hours Courtney: "Falling in love with Matt was very easy for me. He has these amazing hazel eyes that sparkle when doing or talking about something he likes, especially flying! He is the perfect height for me to snuggle into him when he wraps his arms around me. He is so confident and I always feel safe when he is around. And he always makes me laugh." Matt: "When Courtney and I started dating, I thought that she would be another person to date and have some fun with. But I found that when I was in her presence it felt like I was home. That was when I realized Courtney was going to be someone special in my life. As it turned out, she has become a vital part of my life, I don’t know if I could do the things that I have done professionally without her support and help. One of my fondest memories of us dating occurred after Courtney and I had been dating for awhile. During one long day of flight instructing, I had a night flight to end my day. Courtney brought me dinner and freshly baked chocolate chip cookies, my favorite. They where baked to perfection with a light crunch on the outside and soft inside; little did I know, she only bakes one sheet and then eats the remaining cookie dough. We still have not solved what constitutes making cookies." While Courtney heard wedding bells in their future, Matt turned a deaf ear. Only until a combination of Krispy Kreme Donuts and an out of this world movie, Apollo 13, was he unable to deny the urge to propose marriage. We were so lucky to be married five months later in the Lubbock Temple with our family and close friends there. The temple president opened the temple just for our sealing! We, with our family and friends, were the only people in the temple! We have enjoyed being married to each other these past six years. And we are excited about continuing our family story for many years to come.
