Robert and Heather

Hello and thank you for taking the time to read our profile! We are Robert, Heather, and Zoe, and it is our wish that through this profile you will come to know our family. We have been together for 6 years and have a great solid marriage! Robert is a sales associate for a gourmet food market, and Heather is a registered nurse. The fun we share has made time just fly by. We met across a crowded coffee house owned by a mutual friend. It was love at first sight! We suspected that we were dealing with fertility issues and adoption was always part of the discussion for us. In May 2007, we became a family when Zoe joined us through adoption! Zoe is a sweet and thoughtful girl, that has added so much fun and love to our lives. Zoe loves walking in the woods, dancing, and dress-up. Sometimes she even enjoys dressing up our patient rescue-dog Marj! Marj isn't the most photogenic, but she is filled with love! With Zoe's birthfamily we have a semi-open adoption plan, including regular letters and photos with occasional phone calls, because that is what they are most comfortable with. We are very open to having more contact with you if that is what you are seeking.

Our Life

We live in a nice ranch home in a quiet neighborhood with a play area in the backyard, two huge parks in walking distance and a duck pond close by that we all love to check on our evening walks.> > Here in Michigan we have the splendor of fun in four seasons! Our winters are spent sledding, snow-shoeing, and building many snow people! Summers mean we are heading to the lakes! The rest of our days are spent doing arts and crafts, making forts out of the living room cushions, and lots of books. We are active members of our library, and zoo members too. We have done dance classes, Kindermusic, and are active in the formation of a parent and child learning co-op.> > We had great childhoods spent surrounded by doting parents and grandparents, and our families are so excited for us as we try to build our family through adoption once again. We celebrate all the holidays with our extended family and often go on vacations as a group. Most of our vacations are splashy and water-filled, with many detours to catch the oddball roadside attraction.

About Us

About Robert - by Heather I hit paydirt when I found this man! He is by far the kindest and most gentle person I have ever known! He has a huge generous heart, and is tremendously patient. He is definitely a hands on daddy and can easily turn our house into a raucous playground filled with peels of laughter. He delights us with the uncanny ability to make up silly songs in the spur of the moment, and will tirelessly pull a sled around the yard. I consider myself very lucky to be with such a sincere, stable, and down-to-earth man. I truly have met my soul mate. About Heather - by Robert I knew I would marry her the first time we met. Heather is one of the smartest and most thoughtful people I know and my best friend. Her intelligent sense of humor keeps our lives fun and exciting. As a mother Heather is truly awe-inspiring. She is constantly reading books on education and activities to keep our daughter's life filled with wonderment. From baking cookies (with Zoe's gleeful assistance) to leaving cheese and green milk on the porch for the leprechauns on St Patrick's Day Heather makes Zoe's life a learning and magical experience. Every day I am thankful that we met and couldn't imagine my life without my beautiful family. About Zoe - by Robert and Heather Zoe is a bright and inquisitive girl that loves making us roar with laughter. She seems to have an ear for music and can name the tune of her favorite songs in just a few notes. Her favorite things are books, helping in the kitchen, and anything that involves water! Zoe just adores babies and will be a terrific big sister!

Our Promise To You

We hope and pray that fate will shine upon us again and bring us another baby who is meant to be in our family. We are so excited for that day, as we have so much love to offer and can’t wait to add to our family. We promise that we will give your baby unconditional love, two warm extended families and all the opportunities life has to offer. Our hearts are ready to embrace, love, teach and raise another child. We are ready financially, emotionally and spiritually. We are waiting expectantly for this child, this beautiful soul, and are praying you can help us. We want our children to have the best possible relationship with their birth families, because by doing so it can only make our family relationship stronger.
